New York City—On July 17 Daniel Boulud announced the eight semifinalist teams selected to compete at the Bocuse d'Or USA Competition to be held in Orlando at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival on September 26 and 27, 2008. The teams will be vying to represent the United States at the Bocuse d'Or World Cuisine Competition in January 2009 in Lyons, France. Heading up the eight teams are: Timothy Hollingsworth (The French Laundry, Yountville, CA), Hung Huynh (Solo, New York City), Rogers Powell (The French Culinary Institute, New York City), John Rellah Jr. (Hamilton Farm, Gladstone, NJ), Richard Rosendale (Rosendale's, Westerville, OH), Michael Rotondo (Charlie Trotter's, Chicago), Kevin Sbraga (Garces Restaurant Group, Philadelphia), and Percy Whatley (Ahwahnee Hotel, Yosemite National Park, CA).
