The modern world is full of enough travel guides, t.v. shows, and bloggers to fill Texas, all telling us where the "best places to eat" are in any given city in the world. In the midst of these tides of information, a tip or two from a trusted peer behind the stove can go a long way. Alain Ducasse's new book, J'aime New York, divulges his personal favorite haunts and it's less of a directive than one might think in the third of a series of "guides." Each of the entries gets a personal love note from the acclaimed chef and a spread of photos, documenting today's gestalt of New York City and it's pivotal yet important eating culture. The coffee table-style book was released in the U.S. on November 1.
